What's New

AFTER CARE

For the last year C. R. Gamble Funeral Home has been offering this  service to their families to help them get a head start on the documentation that is required to be completed upon a persons death.  Our aftercare provider  will call the family to make an appointment and  go over the documentation that will be needed to start the process.
At the meeting we will assist with cancelling the Social Insurance Card, O.H.I.P, Credit Cards, Application for Canada Pension Death Benefit, Suviours Pension and Notifying Revenue Canada.  Theses are just a few of the services that we provide and are able to make a program that will best suite your needs.

MEMORIAL BOOK

Just inside the main entrance of the C. R. Gamble Funeral Home is a book of remembrance.  Each day we turn a page in the book.  The names of those we have served are inscribed on that date along with the year in which they have passed away.  It is our way of honouring and remembering a life that was lived.  It is also our way of
saying "thank you" to the many families who have shown confidence in us since we came to Almonte in 1973.  Some families are unable to visit this book on the anniversary of the death of those they love.  For this reason we are proud to publish these names in the Almonte Gazette weekly as our way of saying "We Remember".

MEMORIAL CANDLES

At the C. R. Gamble Funeral Home we have been providing our families with a Memorial Candle  that is place and lit during the visitation and Funeral.  This candle has a picture of your loved one along with a beautiful landscape and is taken home to enjoy in the privacy of your own home.

MEMORIAL BALLOONS ( This is an option given to  families at the time of  committal service.)

Our Christian faith is filled with many Symbols.  Releasing of  a balloon is the symbolic act of letting go.   At the grave side the family is given  a balloon to hold. After the clergyman has completed his Committal Service  the Funeral Director will then explain the significance of releasing a balloon.

SHARED MEMORIES

There are many times during a visitation or funeral that friends and family just don't have the chance to talk about the memories that they have of a loved one. We have  set up  memorial cards  so that family and friends can write down memories put them in a basket that will then be given to the family after the service.  This gives the opportunity for the family to read and have a private moment with the memories that others have of their loved one.

IN THE NEAR FUTURE - LIVING MEMORIALS

we are currently working on yet another way to memorialize those we have served.
