Condolence: Dear Lee Family,
I am writing to say how much I respected and admired Leonard, and his philosophy and approach to life and work. We first met through various public service events and even though he left the service, he was generous with his time and his insights for those of us still there. He was also always ready to help - even talking to my son at one point, when focus and direction was needed. More recently, I met an employee of Lee Valley and heard of his great generosity and wonderful legacy as an employer who understood what it took to motivate staff and keep them involved in doing a good job. Client service was something he really understood, and obviously this tradition has been passed on. Leonard will be missed but his wisdom and his acts of great community service will remain in the hearts and minds of many of us. May he rest in peace.

Condolence From: Nancy Hall
Condolence: One of my memories about Leonard was when the hub burnt and we needed help for the children shopping Day. We had just received the keys to use the old Pro Hardware store for the Children shopping day. Some of the ladies were setting up and in come Leonard with boxes of thing from his store to give to the children of Almonte. Leonard came by a couple of times asking us if we had lots for the children. One of the things he gave us was a knife we both had laugh about it and Leonard said maybe I should take it back home. He was a nice man. Just felt that I needed to share this Nancy Hall from (THE HUB).
