Condolence: To Clare's Family
I am so sorry to hear about your loss and offer my condolences as I knew of Clare's ongoing battle with the Cancer.
Just wanted to share with the family that I work briefly with Clare in 1988 at Ashbridges Bay in Toronto and then again in 1991 at Green Creek in Ottawa. Had the pleasure of seeing him again in 2002 at Mississauga.
However more impotantly, wanted to say that I had so much respect for Clare as a human being and co-worker in that he was totally honest, hard working and a very kind and thoughtful man.
Once again, I am sorry for your loss .
Sincerely
Glenn Charlesworth

I just flipped through Fanshawe Alumni magazine and encountered Clare’s obituary. We were close friends in college however had gone our separate ways in pursuit of our engineering careers.

Condolence: Dear Sally,
My heart is aching for you, I am so sorry to hear about Clare and I am thinking about you so much. Brian spoke so highly of Clare as a person and engineer. He valued Clare's wisdom and calm approach. They were special work friends and both left us too soon. It was always so nice to reconnect with you two at the CH2M functions, laugh and catch up on how our families... and your wonderful free-range eggs ;-) I hope you find warmth and comfort in your family, church and people close to you to get through these tough times. Love is eternal!
Sending you hugs,
Marketa

Condolence: Dear Sally,
Rhonda told us about Clare's passing and we are so sad to hear of this. We just could not be there for you at the service as travel seems to require so much more of us as we get on in years ourselves.
Of course, we have followed your family mostly through your mom and dad: you two have lived an intensely adventurous life with great grace and courage and we have admired you for this.
We have all lived full lives and for this we can be and are grateful. Because of this fulness, there are, wonderfully, many things that seem undone. For me, one of those things was not getting to know Clare and you better. Gaye and I remember with fondness, our visit in your home when all the kids were still at home and our brief encounters at family gatherings even earlier when you were still at home with your folks. As is often the case, we have pictures "somewhere around here" of those happy times. Blessings and peace as you learn to put all this in it's proper place.
love
Richard and Gaye

Condolence: I am so sorry to hear of Clare’s passing. I had the pleasure of working with Clare at CH2M, specifically out onsite in the Elk Valley, in BC. He was such a kind man, and a great mentor. He was part of our “site family” and I truly enjoyed getting to know him. I always looked forward to our weekly golf game – everything I know about golf I owe to Clare! He will be missed.
